Rick Porcello(1-1) was on top of his game in Oahu as he tossed a beauty of a
no-hitter against the Oahu Glorius Wonders. The Nassau team won by a score
of 1 to 0.
Porcello had overwhelming stuff this afternoon. He simply never gave the Oahu
batters a decent pitch to drive. He only walked one Oahu batter. What a day
for the fans. They were on the edge of their seats from the 7th inning on.
With every out, the electricity in the air mounted. Nassau had only 3 hits
for the afternoon.
Preston Claiborne(1-1) absorbed the loss in relief. He surrendered 1 hit and
1 walk in 1 inning. 'Porcello was simply incredible' losing pitcher
Claiborne said. 'I hate to admit this but I'd pay to watch a man pitch like
that'
