The red-hot Washington Booze Hounds pitching staff gave the fans an afternoon
that they'll never forget by tossing a combined no-hitter! The tension
started to build around the 6th inning. By the 9th inning the crowd was
electrified. Washington had a total of 8 hits for the game.
The win went to Alexi Ogando(2-0) who allowed no runs in 7 innings. Chris
Volstad(0-2) was tagged with the loss. 'You probably have a better chance of
winning the lottery than this happening,' said Ogando who got credit for the
win, 'I don't expect it to sink in for awhile.' he said. 'You know, it's hard
to say who was better, the starter or the bullpen!'
I bet Ogando was kicking and screaming when he got pulled after 7 and only 82 pitches!
