The Reno Aces despite their league's best record just haven't been as consistent as I'd like them to be. Josh Hamilton struggled in Block 1 and most of Block 2 before finally coming around. The pitching was fantastic in Block 1 which really helped. Block 2 pitching was okay, but Mat Latos near the league lead in HR's allowed just doesn't seem right. It will be interesting to see what kind of a month we can put together when everyone is on. You can see what kind of damage they can do with some guys struggling.
The minor league system is really playing out nicely as well with Brett Wallace hitting major league pitching (hopefully the power will come), Scott Sizemore getting another chance in Oakland, Matt Harrison putting together some decent starts, and Andy Oliver finally getting his shot this year.
The Aces have a lot to look forward to.
