G-Men finish block 1 on a Record Setting Pace

The Nassau G-Men looked at 2011 as a rebuilding year ... but even they didn't think it would be this bad. As they finished Block 1, getting swept in a 3 game series by Old Bridge, their record stood at a terrible 7-21 (which included an awful 1-8 at home)... the bright side is the G-Men are on pace to tie the MLB single season loss record of 120 set by the 1962 NY Mets ... as thought the starting pitching has been the lone bright spot for the team , the pitching staff overall has a 3.95 ERA, but the team Batting Avg of .211 has proven to be too much to overcome ... Hiroki Kuroda has epitomized the team with an 0-6 record despite a 3.62 ERA as well as Zack Greinke who is 0-2 with a sterling 1.99 ERA .. the hitting has only 2 semi regulars with Batting Avgs over .250 and only 3 batters with over 10 RBIs ... the G-Men are looking to next year and are ready to field offers before the trading deadline
