Napa's Tim Lincecum pitches no hitter

Tim Lincecum came within 3 outs of a perfect game against K.C. His perfect game was ruined by a Jeff Keppinger error with no outs in the ninth inning. Lincecum's final line was:

9.0 IP, 0 H, 0 R, 0 ER, 0 BB, 11 K's.

When asked after the game about his feelings, Lincecum had this to say, "I really had my good stuff tonight. I felt good on the mound, hit my spots and was able to keep the hitters off balance all night. The defense played well behind me, mostly. I don't know what Kep's issue was with that groundball, he makes that play at least 3 times out of 20 in practice. I am pretty sure my 2 year old nephew coulda made that play but oh well, what are ya gonna do? We got the win and that is all that really matters."

  1. Congrats dude!!! Too bad about that error but at least Lincecum held on for that no-hitter.

  2. Awesome job! Lincecum seemed a little miffed in the post-game.

  5. Nice game. Now you know how Lilly felt when his perfect game was spoiled on the 27th batter by an error on Tulowitzki (1e10).
