With the extra picks acquired in numerous trades, the Nassau G-Men concluded their picks in the draft with pick #7 in Rd 14 (Ronny Cedeno) ... Highlights from the draft include #1 pick SP Rick Porcello, setup/closer Rafael Soriano as well as young hopefuls IF Casey McGehee, Of Gerrardo Parra and P Andrew Miller ... GM Steve Garafalo was pleased to add some quality bullpen arms to go along with returnees Joakim Soria and Matt Thornton and also some young promising hitters ... weather this will add up to some more wins only time will tell ... but everyone's a contender in Spring Training
