Nassau makes small moves
Nassau GM Steve Garafalo has made a few small deals sending prospect Travis Snider to Colorado Springs for an 11th round pick & veteran reliever Latroy Hawkins to Bowling Green for a 9th round pick ... he is still unable at this point to pull off a big deal to get a front end starter and may well have to try and address this need in the rookie and free agent draft ... stay tuned

The Marines were directly influenced by both trades. Obviously they were the recipient of Travis Snider (and they are very happy to have another top prospect in Marines' pinstripes), but they also used the 9th round pick for Hawkins as precedent for moving reliever Bob Howry.
