On Tuesday, 4:18 EST, Aberdeen has agreed to send Rick Ankiel to the Napa Winers for their 5th round pick. "Not the biggest trade we have made, but those rounds you never know what surprise you may end up with."
The bottom line with acquiring Granderson, already having Jones, and the clear option of drafting McCutchen, he just would not have received playing time. He will be happier in Napa and hopefully get a chance to play.
